About the role
This is a casual/zero-hours contract, working Friday to Monday nights. You’ll be handling fresh and frozen produce, including a regular overnight run to Heathrow on Friday, returning Saturday, followed by trunking to Aberdeen for the rest of your shift pattern.
You will be responsible for:
- Driving HGV vehicles on scheduled overnight routes
- Ensuring safe and timely delivery of temperature-controlled goods
- Completing pre- and post-trip vehicle checks
- Monitoring and maintaining correct fridge trailer settings
- Accurately completing delivery paperwork and logs
- Communicating with the transport team regarding any delays or issues
- Adhering to all road transport and driver hours regulations
You’ll be working with a professional, friendly team and operating well-maintained vehicles equipped for long-distance refrigerated transport.
About you
You’ll need a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC, and tachograph card. Experience with fridge work and overnight trunking is preferred. You should be confident working independently, have strong time management skills, and be comfortable with night shifts and long-distance driving.
