Refuse HGV Driver/Labourer

Salary/Grade: Grade 7 – £28,598 to £ 31,022 per annum

Hours/Days: 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Location: Eckington Depot and various Council establishments

Closing Date: 5th January 2026

Interview Date: To be confirmed

The Council is seeking a Refuse HGV Driver/Labourer to join its Streetscene Team. The successful applicant will be part of a friendly and hardworking team, undertaking the collection of waste from household and commercial properties. This role provides the opportunity to work across the District with established hours based on a task and finish arrangement.

A full clean Driving Licence with licence category C. (HGV) is essential. Knowledge and experience of driving Refuse Collection and light commercial vehicles would be advantageous. In return, the Council offers generous annual leave entitlement (up to 34 days) and the opportunity to develop your skills.
