Sandwich Van Driver – Get Out There & Feed the Troops!
Location: South Woodham Ferrers (and zipping round Essex workplaces & industrial estates)
Pay: £26,000 starting basic + cracking performance bonuses (the more punters you keep happy and the more sales you smash, the fatter your pay packet gets!)
Hours: Monday to Friday only – shifts between 06:30 and 16:00, back home in time for tea. No weekends, no bank holidays, and full Christmas holidays off – proper work-life balance, lovely jubbly! Around 40-hour week.
Essentials:
- Full clean UK driving licence (at least 2 years’ experience) + must be 21+ (insurance rules, no exceptions)
- Confident, safe driver who’s happy behind the wheel all day
- Spot-on time-keeping is key – the troops rely on you showing up bang on time for their breakfast and lunch runs!
It’s All About Your Personality & Sales Hunger, Innit!
No experience needed in food vans or cafés – we’ll teach you how to butter a roll and serve like a pro. What we really want is someone full of energy, super outgoing, and with a genuine hunger to drive sales – flogging as many hot bacon butties, fresh sarnies, extras, and drinks as possible every day. If you love a good natter, enjoy brightening up the queue, and get a real buzz from turning a quick stop into big takings, you’ll smash this!
What a Typical Day Looks Like
You’ll be out in your fully kitted van (fridge, oven, the works), hitting the best pitches on industrial estates and offices, becoming the absolute hero of elevenses and lunch. Your day includes:
- Driving confidently and safely to the top spots
- Serving up hot food, fresh sarnies, and proper brews with a massive grin
- Chatting to regulars, building rapport, and upselling like a champ to maximise sales
- Keeping the van spotless, well-stocked, and fresh (no old chip fat smells here!)
- Handling the day’s takings (cash & card) + light paperwork
- Quick morning vehicle checks (safety first!)
- Plus, enjoy a free lunch every day – one of the perks of the job!
