We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures.
- Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure operational safety and compliance.
- Assist in warehouse activities when required, including stock organisation and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple deliveries.
