At Urbanic Services Ltd, we are specialists in heating, plumbing, and renewable energy solutions, delivering high-quality services across London. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable and professional Driver / Operative to support our daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive company vans to transport engineers, materials, and equipment, following all safety regulations and company policies
- Assist with loading/unloading tools, boilers, and supplies
- Support engineers on-site when required (basic assistance)
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of materials
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys to ensure roadworthiness
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, utilising mechanical knowledge where necessary
- Follow all traffic laws and driving regulations, prioritising safety at all times
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management for swift resolution
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver or warehouse driver
- Strong driving skills with a valid driver’s licence suitable for the specific vehicle type
- Mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform minor repairs if needed
- Experience with flatbed vehicles is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, providing familiarity with loading procedures
- Ability to manage time efficiently, ensuring punctual deliveries across routes
This role requires a dedicated individual capable of handling physical tasks associated with loading and unloading, as well as maintaining professionalism during all interactions. The position is integral to our operations, supporting the seamless movement of goods while upholding safety standards.
