School Minibus Driver Contract: Permanent, Part time Start date: Required for immediate start St Nicholas’ School seeks to appoint a minibus driver, required for immediate start, to work 20 hours a week, equating to 4 hours per day, 2 hours to be worked in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, during term time only. The successful applicant for this position will be an experienced driver with a clean Driving Licence. He/she will be part of the maintenance team and will work alongside other members of the team at times.Previous experience is advantageous but not essential. A D1 category on their licence is essential; training will be provided if the applicant doesn’t have this. A lively sense of humour and a professional readiness to work with the team are important. The person needs to have a friendly, approachable manner and ideally be in possession of a valid First Aid Certificate. He/she should be able to work autonomously, demonstrate effective communication skills and can react calmly and confidently in a crisis. The appointed person must be capable of and enjoy working with children of all ages. The School is an equal opportunities employer.
