Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Duties
- Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods across designated routes
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo during transit
- Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and meet scheduled deadlines
- Obtain necessary signatures and documentation upon delivery completion
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving expertise
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating flatbed vehicles or lorries
- Experience with flatbed loading and securing cargo is desirable
- Strong knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic laws within the area of operation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical fitness for loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
- Prior experience with delivery driver roles is advantageous but not essential

Pay: £180.00-£209.19 per day
