Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to transport goods to designated destinations.
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
- Load and unload items carefully, ensuring products are secure during transit.
- Verify delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and health & safety regulations during deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring courteous interactions with clients upon delivery.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience.
- Knowledge of flatbed operations and handling of various types of cargo.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to navigate using GPS devices or maps efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries within scheduled times.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
